Before moving email tools, adding a second sales channel, or just backing up your business, exporting your Gumroad customer list is worth doing — and it’s easy to get only half of it without realizing.
These are genuinely different lists. A customer isn’t automatically a subscriber, and a subscriber isn’t automatically a customer — export the one (or both) that matches what you’re actually trying to move or back up.
The $100 threshold everyone gets confused about. Gumroad requires you to have earned $100 after fees and received a payout before you can send emails through Gumroad’s own email tools. This rule is about sending email through Gumroad — it has nothing to do with exporting your subscriber list. The Subscribers dashboard’s CSV export works regardless of that threshold, so don’t wait to back up your list just because you haven’t hit $100 in payouts yet.
